Apartment maintenance costs in Bulgaria

Complex maintenance fee
In holiday complexes, the maintenance fee is sometimes quoted in euros per square metre per year. When comparing listings, check the area used for billing, the current rate and the services included. A price per square metre alone does not explain whether it covers all costs of using the facilities.
Furnishings and apartment condition
Check whether the price includes furniture, air conditioning, appliances and other items visible in the photographs. Ask for current photos and a list of items that remain in the apartment. For complexes undergoing renovation, establish the work schedule and the scope affecting the selected building.
Utilities and other payments
Separate the complex maintenance fee from electricity and water usage and any charges for internet, television, insurance or parking. The billing method and availability of individual services must be checked for the specific apartment. Also ask about the costs of the purchase transaction itself.
Ask for a breakdown for your selected listing
Send the apartment number and request a breakdown of known annual costs and usage-based payments. This makes it easier to compare two properties of different sizes and in different complexes. The listing page shows the information available, and we confirm the current scope before purchase.
